Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010. I want to wish everyone Happy New Year, I will be on vacation the next few days, taking a short trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to shop, relax, recharge and be ready for whats to come in 2010. This will be the last post for 2009, I'll be back next week on Tuesday. As we know the new Linkin Park album will be released in 2010, which means new music, new videos, new interviews, promos, new tour, you know the usual, can't wait for the cycle to begin!
Don't forget the Dead By Sunrise Asian/European tour in January and February, perhaps we can expect another single or two?. The Linkin Park watch starts January 20 which is Rob's birthday and then the Grammy Awards on January 31 where LP is nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance. The Oscars nominations will be announced on February 2, Linkin Park's 'New Divide' is one of the 63 songs contending for nominations in the Original Song category, members of the Academy will watch clips of each song on January 12 and then they will vote, I know it's a long short but one can always hope.
Thank you everybody for all the suport year after year. Every moment spent with my family is the best moment for me in 2009, hope you guys had a good 2009 too. Life is short so don't think too much about the future, don't dwell on the past, just live in the present. For every mistake you may have made in 2009 think about the good you've done and achieved, so, stay positive and enjoy the moment. As always, I wish everyone good luck, good fortune, good grades, good relationship, good jobs and above all good health.

Chester talks new Linkin Park album
posted by Jas, 12/23/09 | share
The Edge has a report on Linkin Park's achievement in the last ten years, they were named top-selling rock/alternative band of the decade by SoundScan and finishing at #5 on Billboard's overall Artists of the Decade chart, and Chester talks to Launch Daily about Linkin Park's new album out sometime next year.
Linkin Park is now working on its fourth album, and singer Chester Bennington told us they're pushing their sound further than ever before: "I think that the kind of music that we're making, the sounds that we're going for -- I mean, you know, we're playing instruments through pedals that are being then sampled into keyboards and playing those through effects, and running loops and, like, there's so much craziness happening in the studio right now. Some of the beats are super-complicated, the programming is insane, and it's fun."

Dead By Sunrise KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas photos and reviews
posted by Jas, 12/14/09 | share
Uploaded some photos of the concert and the interview. Below are what OC Register and LA Times said about DBS performance
Perhaps the revolving stage might spin Linkin Park into view for a stripped-down acoustic mini-set? After all, that band's frontman Chester Bennington was already on hand with his new outfit Dead by Sunrise. But Dead by Sunrise was a small revelation, dramatically improved since its unveiling at Epicenter at August. What then sounded like Linkin Park without the hip-hop or synth effects now comes across like a fired-up garage-rock group trying to prove its worth. Kudos, too, to Chester: when faced with a half-empty amphitheater, probably for the first time since the early days of Linkin Park, he didn't turn prima donna, instead hurling himself into the performance and giving his all. Full review.
Dead by Sunrise, the new act from Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, eschewed that act's arena-sized rap-rock for a street-level scruffiness that, though typically hook-centric, wasn't nearly as fully formed as Linkin Park. But even Bennington's B-list songwriting would have been preferable to the relentless dirge of Three Days Grace, a sallow Canadian band whose set suggested that not even single-payer healthcare could heal the wounds it inflicted on those who like rock with rhythm or sex appeal. Full review.

Best-selling artists & albums and one hit wonder of the decade
posted by Jas, 12/09/09 | share
First of all if you guys haven't been able to access LPT past couple of days, it's my fault, I forgot to pay the bill due last week LOL! my bad, sorry about that. Anyway, Linkin Park are on the list of the best-selling artists and albums of the decade at number 7. 9.7 million copies of their album "Hybrid Theory" have been sold. Unfortunately, Billboard has Fort Minor's 'Where'd You Go' at #19 on their one hit wonder of the decade list. They said, "It's a good thing Mike Shinoda has Linkin Park to fall back on. Fort Minor, his musical side project, started big, reaching No. 2 with "Where'd You Go" in June 2006. Fans have been asking the same question since then; the band's next biggest hit, "Remember the Name," peaked at No. 66. three months later." Who wants another FM album raise your hands!

Argie is in group B with South Korea, Nigeria and Greece. Other tough groups are group C (England, US, Algeria & Slovenia), group D (Germany, Australia, Ghana & Serbia) and group G aka group of death (Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast and Portugal, hey Wesley, Felipe, good luck!). Host nation, South Africa is not a happy camper either, they have France and Mexico in their group, good luck with that!. Italy and Spain are in the easiest groups and I hate them already :-) Go here for complete draw and match schedule.

Uploaded some photos of Mike, Joe and Rob at the Grammy nomination concert last night. Among the things you don't see during the live broadcast is this quote from Joe LOL! he never fails to crack me up evertime he speaks.
Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn wouldn't give away too many details about the band's forthcoming album, but wasn't hesitant to give a few sarcastic comments about what fans should expect: "The new album is a journey through a musical landscape," said Hahn, whose band was nominated this year for best hard rock performance for the song "What I've Done." He jokingly continued, "The best way to describe it is it's Grammy-worthy and it's going to be enjoyable to listen to."

Woo!! hoo!!! Linkin Park's 'What I've Done' live track from the Road To Revolution: Live At Milton Keynes CD has been nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance award when the nominees for the Grammy Awards were announced this evening.
