Linkin Park's new album details

Mike had posted a handwritten message at LP.com saying that the new album is almost done and he confirms on LPMB that the orange watermark on the paper reads The Catalyst, August 2 but said not to assume if it's the album or single title. But i'm sure we can assume that August 2 is the release date for the single.
LPBR reports that according to The Music Network, Linkin Park's new album is scheduled for release in September. Warner Music Australia had a listening session two weeks ago and said the new material represented a departure for the band and sounded "more electronic."

Soundspike has a Q&A session with Carlos Santana where he talks about his forthcoming album, tentatively titled "Guitar Heaven," which will have Chester among the guest artists featured in the album.
Tell me about your new studio album. It sounds like a pretty exciting project.
I'm very, very grateful because I get to participate in something that is very [wonderful]. For example, "Supernatural" was a really, really humungous door for me to walk through. This is another one; I can see it already. The name of the CD is probably going to be called "Guitar Heaven." The songs are from Jimi Hendrix, "Little Wing"; "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," The Beatles; "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," The Rolling Stones; "Sunshine of Your Love," Cream; "Back in Black," AC/DC; "Dance the Night Away," Van Halen; "Whole Lotta Love" (Led Zeppelin); "Smoke on the Water" (Deep Purple); "Riders on the Storm" (The Doors); "Fortunate Son" (Creedence Clearwater Revival).

Linkin Park be playing at MCH Arena in Herning, Denmark on October 30th. LPU members can purchase pre-sale tickets starting tomorrow. Tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday, June 29 at 10 am (local). OMG! Japan just scored their second goal! I am loving these underdogs!

Taking a quick break from World Cup madness to post a quickie, so what did I miss? Oh Linkin Park have added a second show at the O2 Arena in London on November 11. LPU members can purchase pre-sale tickets now, and the rest of you can get yours starting Friday, June 25 at 9am local time. Mike has updated his blog with a post from LP Live regarding the new Linkin Park album, a DJ on XFM Radio (London) talked about the sound of the album on his show last week, download the mp3 here.

2010 Tour dates in Brazil are now confirmed!. Linkin Park will also play in Zurich, Switzerland at Hallenstadion on Nov 1, pre-sale tickets are now available for LPU members, and tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday, June 22 at 8 am. Tickets for UK dates are now on sale. The 2010 Tour dates so far.

Linkin Park will play at Bercy in Paris, France on October 25th. Pre-sale tickets for LPU members go on sale tomorrow and tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, June 18 at www.avosbillets.com. The 2010 Tour dates so far, more dates coming.

Joe spoke to Kerrang about Linkin Park's upcoming tour in the UK, thanks to WesleyLPBR for the tip.

Linkin Park have added three shows in the UK to their 2010 Tour Dates. The will play in Manchester on Nov 4 (MEN Arena), Birmingham on Nov 9 (LG Arena) and London on Nov 10 (02 Arena). Pre-sale tickets for LPU members go on sale Tuesday, June 15 and tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, June 18 at 9am here. The Linkin Park 2010 tour will start on October 20 at the 02 World in Berlin, Germany, they will also play in Stuttgart, Koln, Hamburg and Linz, Austria that month and in Frankfurt on November 2.

It's Friday already here and the World Cup 2010 starts today! Woo!! Woo!! This is the time when families are divided, friends become foes and wives are neglected. For the next five weeks I will eat, live and breathe football, everything else will take a back seat, even LP :-) so apologies for my MIA here next few weeks. Hope there's lots of drama and controversies and stupid referee decisions, for what is World Cup without all that but no penalty shoot outs please, my heart can't take it.
