Ryan and Amir talked to Stalker magazine about Julien-K and they have this to say about Chester.

You work close together with Chester Bennington, singer of Linkin Park, with whom you founded the band Dead by Sunrise – what is his part in Julien-K?
Amir: We can't define a role for him, because he helps us in a number of different ways. He helps to write better vocal parts. He helps Ryan to become a better singer. He helps us in many ways in the studio and even outside of the studio in a managing way. We like to call him our executive producer. He is like a brother; it's like in a family.

Mike has updated his blog with an announcement about the Linkin Park's 8-Bit Rebellion game which will be released late this month on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Hi Everyone,

My bandmates and I are thrilled to announce our game, "Linkin Park 8 Bit Rebellion," will finally be out late this month for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. In the game, you'll battle enemies and solve mysteries in order to stop an evil corporation's mass-brainwashing campaign. Here's some other stuff you'll find:

- an 8 Bit version of each member of Linkin Park
- new 8 Bit versions of some of our most popular songs
- characters and art designed by the band
- a brand new Linkin Park song, entitled "Blackbirds," waiting for you at the end.

Besides being being the first game to contain a new, exclusive LP track, this game is a "first" in other ways: it's the first massively multiplayer music artist app, our first game, and will be in the first wave of games designed for the iPad. Look out for it later in the month, and feel free to tell some friends.

New LP Street Team site

The Linkin Park Street Team site will have a new look and feel soon, if you're already a member of LPST and on the mailing list, you'll receive an email invite via the LPST newsletter to view and explore the new site. If you're not a member go to www.lpstreetteam.com to join. There are banners for the LP Archives promotion that you can use and win yourself a prize. LPST are also looking for online street team captain, details are all on the site and in the LPST newsletter. Below is a message from Rob.

What's up LP Street Team,

As you know, our band has been in the studio working on the new record that we're planning to put out later in 2010. With the launch of the new LinkinPark.com, we thought it was time to update the LPST site and upgrade your experience. Through the new LPST website you will be able to interact better with the entire community, engage with the band, and participate in all the promotions we have coming up. The new LPST site will be open to new members soon, but we wanted to make sure all of our loyal, long time members were able to sign up first, since you have truly been an integral part of Linkin Park, some of you even going back as far as our original Hybrid Theory street team days.

The new LPST site is hosted through a different system, so you will need to sign up for a new account to stay active. Use the link below to register and explore the new site. Note, the link below is temporary (to allow you to get first access); once the new website is open to the public it will live at www.lpstreetteam.com.

Cypress Hill has posted a video clip where they talked about the songs on their upcoming album "Rise Up". They talked about 'Carry Me Away' featuring Mike Shinoda at around 8 minute mark in the clip. The album will be released on April 20.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine, Rockin' On has an interview with Chester. He is also among rock stars interviewed in the first tattoo issue of Revolver magazine, in stores March 2.

Those of you who were LPU members last year might remember March Madness. Basically we did 3 giveaways each week on all of our social networking pages: MySpace Monday, Twitter Tuesday, Facebook Friday.
